Owosso Graphic Arts Is Pleased to Announce New Ownership —
Owosso Graphic Arts (OWOSSO) has transitioned ownership to Craig Ellenberg.
It has always been Craig’s goal to own OWOSSO and he finally achieved that goal on July 30, 2017. An employee of the company since 1982, and Plant Manager for the last 15 years the transition to ownership was seamless.
Owosso Graphic Arts was founded in 1949 by Ken Bentley. After Mr. Bentley died in a car/train accident the company was purchased by Jerry Voight in 1965. Over the years our strong management team has grown the company to be a leader in the industry by diversifying in many different markets, while never losing sight of our core values of quality, service, honesty and integrity.
The future of OWOSSO looks very bright as we welcome Craig’s two sons, Devin & Max, to the company. Both worked at OWOSSO previously and are excited to once again join the OWOSSO team. “They both have innovative ideas on new products and procedures. And they know the importance of building strong relationships with our customers by providing quality products and service”, said Craig.
Craig also added, “We have a great group of skilled and dedicated employees. I am excited about expanding our line of products and the continued success of OWOSSO.”

The artist successfully raised $5,815 on Kickstarter to design and publish her book. As she wrote in her Kickstarter story, she “selected a book bindery within the U.S. that has an impressive gallery of past projects, and we’ve discussed my vision in great detail.”

WHAT IS DISC GOLF
Disc Golf is played much like traditional golf – the object is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws. Instead of using a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee®. The game started with people aiming their Frisbee® at various targets, such as garbage cans, trees, light poles and other readily available items.
Today, according to the Professional Disc Golf Association, there are thousands of courses around the world. There are teams/leagues popping up all over and over 86,000 members of the Professional Disc Golf Association. Suitable for school age to senior citizens, and all fitness levels, Disc Golf is the perfect lifetime fitness sport. If you can throw a Frisbee®, you can play Disc Golf.
DIE MAKER TO THE PROS
What does OWOSSO have to do with Disc Golf you might ask? We are the foil stamping die maker for leading disc manufacturers in the U.S. Our magnesium dies produce a crisp, foil stamped image on the disc.
Zing Mini Discs are primarily used as markers in the game of Disc Golf. Zing makes five different competition sizes as well as a “micro” size that fits snugly over a soda can to keep bugs and bees out of your beverage. Many of their mini discs have been thrown over 350 feet. They’ve been in business for over 25 years servicing small businesses, schools, hospitals, doctor’s offices and especially Disc Golf. Craig Myers, Foil Mixologist at Zing had this to say: “I exclusively use OWOSSO for my die-making needs. I appreciate the fast turn-around and great customer service. Prices are very affordable and the quality of each die is impeccable”.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what those baskets at your favorite park are for, now you know. You might want to swing by your local retail store and pick up a disc or two. If you’re having an event, consider ordering some custom discs from Zing.
Who knows, you might just perfect the Tomahawk throw!

Monica Wellington’s women’s clothing boutique, SPLENDIFEROUS, needed a new business card.
Splendiferous! had evolved over the years and needed a new card to reflect that. Keeping the dandelion puff, and “Splendiferous” spelled with an exclamation point in place of that “i,” in the middle, but it needed a new, chicer, interpretation that befit how the shop is now.
I printed her new designs half on white Cranes Lettra 600 gsm, and half on black super-thick, Museum Mount papers. We then gilded the lily and added gold, metallic edge gilding.
On the white paper, we used a pearlized white foil for the puff and on the black paper, we used gloss black foil for the puff. Everything else was in gold foil.
Dies made by Owosso Graphic Arts, of course!
